CU	Consumptive Use – the loss of water that is not available for future use within the Basin.
DI	Diversion – the transfer of water into or out of the Basin.
GW	Groundwater – water below the ground surface.
mgd	Million Gallons Per Day - a unit of measurement.
NOI	Notice of Intent – an application for Commission approval of an Approval by Rule (ABR).
PWS	Public Water Supplier – an entity that provides potable water to at least 15 connections to year-round customers or at least 25 year-round residents.
SW	Surface Water – water flowing in channels or impounded on the surface of the ground.
