Grants and Special Projects Coordinator

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) is seeking a Grants and Special Projects Coordinator who will provide support to the pursuit, coordination and implementation of grant-related work and special projects. Summer Environmental Intern

We are currently accepting applications for a Summer Environmental Intern for the Monitoring & Protection program. This is a 3-month temporary position that will work out of our Harrisburg, PA office, and will start on approximately May 13th. Hydrologist 1

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC), an interstate water resource management agency, seeks a Hydrologist 1 for the Planning & Operations Program located in its Harrisburg, PA office. This position provides technical support on a variety of water resources projects including water availability studies, consumptive use mitigation grants, flood warning and response, drought planning and monitoring, and environmental flow management.

The SRBC is a federal-interstate agency overseeing the conservation, development, and administration of the Susquehanna River Basin’s natural resources. As an interstate agency the SRBC operates independently, with oversight by Commissioners representing the State of New York, State of Maryland, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. From an employment perspective, this grants SRBC the ability to retain new employees in an expedited manner and with less bureaucracy than other government agencies. Here’s the typical timeline of our hiring process:
